What they got
The unit has pot lights throughout.
It’s not often that a unit comes on the market in the 18-unit townhouse complex near 25th Avenue and vibrant Main Street. The three-bedroom, two-bathroom, three-level townhouse, built in 1990, had been completely renovated with bamboo flooring and updated bathrooms and kitchen.
The 1,358-square-foot unit is bright, with pot lights throughout and a deck and balconies that look onto the landscaped property. The unit comes with two parking stalls, and the building allows rentals and pets.
The biggest feature, though, is the neighbourhood, which is within walking distance to the city’s best restaurants, boutique shops and coffee shops, as well as schools and amenities.
“This is all about location, location, location,” listing agent Dwayne Launt said.
The action
The kitchen has been recently updated.
Mr. Launt had no problem selling the family-friendly townhouse. He received four offers after a realtor’s preview and an open house on the weekend, with about 60 groups through the unit.
“Everyone was within range, and one person stepped up a little higher,” he said of the bids. “It was one of those perfect storms: someone came in and said, ‘This is exactly what we want. It’s nicely renovated, with good flow.’”
The agent’s take
The deck overlooks the landscaped property.
Mr. Launt said he senses an uptick in the market. “We are seeing a lot more interest at the open houses. Our buyers and sellers are calling us up,” he said.
The sale was completed on April 1.
